Can't hear out of my ear for 4 days now and 29 weeks pregnant?

So about 2 weeks ago, I went to the doctor for a sore throat. They tested me for Strep, and told me I was positive for this, and prescribed me Penicillin.Then it went away a few days later, and seemed like everything was getting better. Then everything started turning for the worst again. My Tonsils were no longer what hurt, it was kinda near my voicebox that started to hurt and felt dry whenever i woke up at night. Then i got a sinus infection, and my head, and face hurt due to swelling of the sinuses, and i developed this very hard, deep dry cough, and now i also have loss of hearing and pain in my middle ear. I went back to the doctors on tuesday, but they told me that it's caused by a bad cold, and that i have fluid in my ear and to keep taking the Penicillin that was prescribed for my strep? It's still not working, and NO decongestants help me sleep at night, and i'm always coughing really hard, making me assume that it's whooping cough, because it goes on for about 10 seconds. I told the doctors all of these problems, but they told me to keep doing what i'm doing. NOTHING'S working. I'm also 29 weeks pregnant, and scared to take any decongestants like offbrand Tylenol sinus and pain relief pills.. and robitussin DM for my cough. but those don't even work. What's wrong with me!!!!
