My iPods screen is cracked and I have a question about it?

I have an iPod touch. I'm not sure what generation but it doesn't take pictures, so it's not the newest one. Well anyway I'm unable to sync it with my computer and the screen is cracked. So I don't have any songs or anything on the computer just the iPod. Will I lose all my stuff if I get it repaired or is it possible for them to repare a cracked screen? The 2 little black buttons on the side for volume, will that part is bent and it is cracked. It works fine and has been vrackedfor a while. So my main question is is it possible to hae the screen repaired, and if it is and I get it repaired will I lose all my songs and apps?
